Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center opened its doors in 2010 in New Jersey City, thanks to the active participation and community efforts of the founder "Claribel Ortega", committed to providing a local resource for addiction treatment and mental health. The mission of Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center is to provide compassionate treatment for alcoholism, drug addiction and related mental health problems. Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center seeks to reduce the stigma associated with addiction and mental illness. Over the years, the Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center has responded to the growing number and complexity of patient needs by expanding the program to serve some of the most vulnerable and challenging populations. Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center clinic was the first clinic to offer services to adolescents in the city of North Arlington, including the Hispanic population, fully adopting and integrating treatment for clients with co-occurring disorders (2010). Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center developed special programs for bilingual students. We help patients receive a psychiatric evaluation if needed. If the patient requires stricter medical supervision in a sub-acute environment, we refer them to higher levels for their mental health improvement, obtaining a greater chance that the patient will obtain a recovery of the substance from alcohol and the drug. Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center will continue to expand its services and adapt its programs to people in need. Into The Light Wellness & Recovery Center was one of the first providers to help Hispanic women going through a relationship of domestic violence.
Into The Light Wellness & Recovery develops and delivers quality integrated and comprehensive specialized health care, education and prevention services to our community. Our experienced and highly qualified professional staff provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders, promote healthy cognitive development and education for children, and encourage family participation and support ensuring a holistic approach to all of our services. Our strength lies in our ability to adapt to change as care delivery and community human services needs require. As a community services provider, we remain attentive to the health and well-being of those we serve through education, outreach, and various progressive practices. Into The Light is committed to improving the physical, emotional, spiritual and cognitive development of the community served. We strive to provide leadership through practice, education and research; affiliating with other institutions, and offering whenever possible, technologically advanced services.
